January 21, 2025: Bellefontaine, OH 43311 Bellefontaine Chieftains (Bellefontaine, OH) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting North Union Wildcats (Richwood, OH), 64-57 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bellefontaine advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Urbana (Urbana, OH) to face the Hillclimbers in a Central Buckeye Conference - Kenton Trail match on Friday, January 24. The Hillclimbers enter the match with a record of 7-5. Urbana won 50-36 in their recent non-league match against West Liberty-Salem (West Liberty, OH)
The Wildcats now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benjamin Logan for a Central Buckeye Conference - Mad River match on Friday, January 24. North Union will face a Raiders squad coming off a 73-25 non-league loss to Kenton Ridge (Springfield, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 1-13.
