South Dakota High School Basketball - Elkton/Lake Benton thwarts Canton
January 21, 2025: Canton, SD 57013 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD) and the host Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD), observed Elkton/Lake Benton's basketball team knock off Canton by a score of 67-49.
The Elks (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Colman-Egan (Colman, SD). The C-E Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 5-5 record. In their last challenge, Colman-Egan prevailed over McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD), 66-53, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the C-Hawks encounter the Parker Pheasants (Parker, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Canton will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Pheasants come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 61-32 non-league loss to Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD).
