In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Loop Longhorns basketball team scored a close 55-50 triumph over the Grady Wildcats.

The Longhorns (21-3) will now prepare for their contest against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars go into the 1A Region I District 6 contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Klondike nipped Sands (Ackerly, TX), 41-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 contest, on Friday, January 24. Grady will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 64-12 league loss to Borden County (Gail, TX).
