The Central Chargers basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Jackson Red Devils to 49 in the Chargers league triumph on Friday.
The Chargers now sport a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Upson-Lee for a AAA Region 2 contest on Saturday, January 23. Central will battle a Knights team coming off a 60-55 league win over Americus-Sumter (Americus, GA). The Knights record now stands at 11-5.
The Red Devils (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Americus-Sumter (Americus, GA). The Panthers enter the AAA Region 2 contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Americus-Sumter ran past Peach County (Fort Valley, GA), 72-61, in a non-league contest.
