New Mexico High School Basketball - Cliff overwhelms Animas
January 22, 2022: Animas, NM 88020 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) and the host Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), saw Cliff's basketball squad wallop Animas by a tally of 48-22.
With the victory, Cliff improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys/Cowgirls host Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM) to confront the SonBlazers in a A District 2 challenge on Thursday, January 27. The SonBlazers come into the challenge with a record of 11-1.
Next up, the Panthers confront the Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 27. Animas will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 78-34 non-league loss to Socorro (Socorro, NM).
