The Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA), 54-38 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Knights (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 12-1 record.

The Bobcats now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host South Tama County for a WAMAC - West test on Tuesday, January 25. Benton will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 42-32 league loss to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-11.
