January 22, 2022: East Peoria, IL 61611 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) and the host East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), saw Washington's basketball squad overcome East Peoria by a tally of 53-36.
With the victory, Washington improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Morton (Morton, IL) to confront the Potters in a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, January 25. The Potters come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Morton won 46-39 in their recent league challenge against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Peoria Christian Chargers (Peoria, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 24. East Peoria will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 55-42 league loss to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL).
