New Jersey High School Basketball - Sparta edges West Orange
January 22, 2022: Sparta, NJ 07871 The Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting West Orange Mountaineers (West Orange, NJ), 50-43 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Randolph (Randolph, NJ). The Rams go into the non-league bout with a 7-6 record. In their last bout, Randolph held off Chatham (Chatham, NJ), 54-51, in a league bout.
Next up, the Mountaineers clash with the Millburn Millers (Millburn, NJ) in a Super Essex - Colonial bout, on Monday, January 24. West Orange will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Millers go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 57-51 non-league win over Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ).
