New Jersey High School Basketball - Matawan Regional fells Barnegat
January 22, 2022: Aberdeen, NJ 07747 Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ), 37-27 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Matawan Regional upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Huskies travel to Red Bank Catholic (Red Bank, NJ) to face the Caseys in a Shore A - Central game on Tuesday, January 25. The Caseys enter the game with a record of 14-1. Red Bank Catholic won 58-32 in their recent non-league game against Eastern (Voorhees, NJ)
With the defeat, Barnegat moves to 5-4 on the year. The Bengals host Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ) to face the Hawks in a Shore B - South game on Friday, February 4. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 7-5.
