Virginia High School Basketball - Deep Run tops Hanover
January 22, 2024: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Deep Run Wildcats (Glen Allen, VA) and the host Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA), saw Deep Run's basketball squad knock off Hanover by a count of 64-52.
With the victory, Deep Run upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA) to play the Tigers in a Colonial challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. J.R. Tucker lost 65-59 in their recent league challenge against Hermitage (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Hawks play the Henrico Warriors (Richmond, VA) in a Capital challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Hanover will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 74-70 league win over Armstrong (Richmond, VA).
