Maine High School Basketball - Dirigo knocked off by St. Dominic
January 22, 2024: Dixfield, ME 04224 The St. Dominic Saints basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Dirigo Cougars to 51 in the Saints non-league triumph on Monday.
The Saints now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Yarmouth Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. St. Dominic will meet a Panthers team coming off a 50-32 league loss to Waynflete (Portland, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 4-9.
The Cougars (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME). The Bulldogs enter the C South contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Hall-Dale ran past Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME), 75-34, in a non-league contest.
