January 22, 2024: Gallup, NM 87301 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) and the visiting Portales Rams (Portales, NM), saw Gallup's basketball squad overcome Portales by a tally of 83-75.
With the victory, Gallup improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Bengals host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM) to confront the Bobcats in a 4A District 1 challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Bloomfield lost 47-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM)
Next up, the Rams confront the Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Portales will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 59-42 non-league loss to Melrose (Melrose, NM).
