New Jersey High School Basketball - Montclair Kimberley Academy knocked off by Montclair
January 22, 2024: Montclair, NJ 07042 The Montclair Mounties basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars to 57 in the Mounties non-league triumph on Monday.
The Mounties now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Millburn for a Super Essex - Colonial contest on Tuesday, January 23. Montclair will meet a Millers team coming off a 72-64 non-league loss to Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Millers record now stands at 11-3.
The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Weequahic (Newark, NJ). The Indians enter the Super Essex - Freedom contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Weequahic was outscored by St. Joseph (Metuchen, NJ), 61-15, in a non-league contest.
