Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Valley View overwhelms Western Wayne
January 22, 2024: Lake Ariel, PA 18436 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) and the host Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), saw Valley View's basketball squad wallop Western Wayne by a count of 77-29.
With the victory, Valley View upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Scranton (Scranton, PA) to play the Knights in a Lackawanna 1 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Scranton won 75-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA) in a Lackawanna 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Western Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Buckhorns come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 75-62 non-league loss to Scranton (Scranton, PA).
