Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lower Moreland Lions (Huntingdon Valley, PA) and the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), saw Lower Moreland's basketball squad hold off Marple Newtown by a tally of 55-50.

With the victory, Lower Moreland improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Upper Moreland (Willow Grove, PA) to confront the Bears in a Suburban One - American challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Upper Moreland won 33-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA)
