Maryland High School Basketball - Urbana nips Wilde Lake
January 22, 2024: Columbia, MD 21044 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD) and the host Wilde Lake Wildecats (Columbia, MD), saw Urbana's basketball squad hold off Wilde Lake by a count of 48-43.
With the victory, Urbana upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Tuscarora (Frederick, MD) to play the Titans in a challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Tuscarora lost 72-58 in their recent league challenge against North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD)
Next up, the Wildecats play the Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Wilde Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
