California High School Basketball - Fremont trounced by Homestead
January 22, 2025: Sunnyvale, CA 94087 Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 52-22 in a league match.
With the victory, Homestead advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Mustangs host Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA) to face the Bruins in a match on Friday, January 24. The Bruins enter the match with a record of 9-7. Santa Clara won 74-54 in their recent league match against Saratoga (Saratoga, CA)
The Firebirds now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monta Vista for a match on Wednesday, January 29. Fremont will face a Matadors squad coming off a 54-42 league win over Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 13-2.
