New Mexico High School Basketball - Organ Mountain nips Las Cruces
January 23, 2023: Las Cruces, NM 88001 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM), saw Organ Mountain's basketball squad hold off Las Cruces by a tally of 39-36.
With the victory, Organ Mountain improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Hawks in a 5A District 3 challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Centennial won 77-53 in their recent league challenge against Gadsden (Anthony, NM)
Next up, the Bulldawgs play the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Las Cruces will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 44-42 league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM).
