Arkansas High School Basketball - Melbourne overwhelms Rural Special
January 23, 2023: Melbourne, AR 72556 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR) and the visiting Rural Special Rebels (Fox, AR), saw Melbourne's basketball squad wallop Rural Special by a count of 71-37.
With the victory, Melbourne upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Bearkatz travel to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Region 2 challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-9.
Next up, the Rebels play the Timbo Tigers (Timbo, AR) in a 1A Region 2 challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Rural Special will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
