Kentucky High School Basketball - Harlan County overwhelms Bell County
January 23, 2024: Harlan, KY 40831 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY) and the visiting Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY), saw Harlan County's basketball squad wallop Bell County by a tally of 78-53.
With the victory, Harlan County improves its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Black Bears travel to Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY) to confront the Yellowjackets in a District 52 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Middlesboro lost 57-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson County (McKee, KY)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Ryle Raiders (Union, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Bell County will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 61-56 non-league win over Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY).
