In Tuesday's league outing, the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Morton Potters (Morton, IL), by a margin of 67-48.

The Redbirds (19-4) will now prepare for their outing against Canton (Canton, IL). The Little Giants go into the Mid-Illini outing with a 7-15 record. In their last outing, Canton was beaten by East Peoria (East Peoria, IL), 65-50, in a league outing.

The Potters now own a 20-3 record. They play next when they host Pekin for a Mid-Illini outing on Friday, January 26. Morton will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 49-41 non-league win over Washington (Washington, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 11-6.
