Virginia High School Basketball - The Covenant nudges Regents

January 23, 2024: Charlottesville, VA 22903

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) basketball squad edged the host Regents Lions (Charlottesville, VA), by a count of 43-41.

The Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA). The Flames go into the VISAA Division III outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, Eastern Mennonite held off Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA), 68-58, in a league outing.

The Lions now hold a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Redeemer Classical for a Virginia Christian - Central outing on Thursday, January 25. Regents will clash with a Griffins squad coming off a 63-25 league loss to Grace Christian (Staunton, VA). The Griffins record now stands at 0-5.
