New Mexico High School Basketball - Socorro holds off Sandia Prep
January 23, 2024: Socorro, NM 87801 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) and the visiting Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM), saw Socorro's basketball squad hold off Sandia Prep by a tally of 69-63.
With the victory, Socorro improves its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Warriors host Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Jemez Valley lost 74-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM)
Next up, the Sundevils confront the West Las Vegas Dons (Las Vegas, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Sandia Prep will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Dons come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 77-75 non-league loss to Shiprock (Shiprock, NM).
