Texas High School Basketball - Warren nips Anahuac
January 23, 2024: Anahuac, TX 77514 Warren Warriors (Warren, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Anahuac Panthers (Anahuac, TX), 43-42 in a league bout.
With the victory, Warren upgrades its record to 7-13 on the campaign. The Warriors host Orangefield (Orangefield, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 20-4. Orangefield won 62-32 in their recent league bout against Hardin (Hardin, TX)
Next up, the Panthers play the East Chambers Buccaneers (Winnie, TX) in a 3A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, January 26. Anahuac will attempt to upgrade on its 16-13 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 19-7 record after their 39-31 league win over Kirbyville (Kirbyville, TX).
