Louisiana High School Basketball - Ascension Christian overwhelmed by East Iberville
January 23, 2024: St. Gabriel, LA 70776 The Ascension Christian basketball team (Gonzales, LA), was overwhelmed 46-11 in Tuesday's league battle with the host East Iberville Tigers (St. Gabriel, LA)
The Tigers now possess a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. John for a 1A District 8 battle on Friday, January 26. East Iberville will battle a Eagles team coming off a 47-29 non-league win over Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 13-10.
The (10-14) will now prepare for their battle against White Castle (White Castle, LA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A District 8 battle with a 15-11 record. In their last battle, White Castle trounced Ascension Catholic (Donaldsonville, LA), 78-35, in a league battle.
