The Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) basketball felled the host Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD), 54-36 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Elk Point-Jefferson thwarted Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA), 62-53, in a non-league test.

The C-Hawks now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Luverne for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. Canton will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 54-48 league loss to Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-11.
