Oklahoma High School Basketball - Canute nips Fort Cobb-Broxton
January 23, 2024: Canute, OK 73626 Canute Trojans (Canute, OK) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs (Fort Cobb, OK), 49-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Canute upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Cordell (Cordell, OK) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Cordell lost 55-53 in their recent league bout against Mangum (Mangum, OK)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Hobart Bearcats (Hobart, OK) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, January 26. Fort Cobb-Broxton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 45-32 non-league loss to Lookeba-Sickles (Lookeba, OK).
