Minnesota High School Basketball - East Grand Forks overwhelmed by Thompson
January 23, 2024: East Grand Forks, MN 56721 The Thompson Tommies basketball team scored 87 points and restricted the host East Grand Forks Green Wave to 57 in the Tommies non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tommies now sport a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Four Winds/Minnewaukan for a A Region 2 contest on Thursday, January 25. Thompson will battle a Indians team coming off a 68-55 league win over Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND). The Indians record now stands at 5-7.
The Green Wave (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Crookston (Crookston, MN). The Pirates come into the AA Section 8 contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Crookston was routed by Roseau (Roseau, MN), 57-46, in a league contest.
