Mount Calvary Christian Chargers (Elizabethtown, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host New Covenant Christian Flames (Lebanon, PA), 40-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mount Calvary Christian upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Veritas Academy (Leola, PA) to play the Monarch in a Commonwealth Christian - Central bout on Thursday, January 25. The Monarch come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Veritas Academy lost 50-33 in their recent league bout against Lancaster County Christian (Lancaster, PA)

Next up, the Flames play the Covenant Christian Academy (Harrisburg, PA) in a Commonwealth Christian - Other bout, on Friday, January 26. New Covenant Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 41-32 non-league loss to Juniata Christian (McAlisterville, PA).
