January 23, 2025: Lone Tree, IA 52755 Lone Tree Lions (Lone Tree, IA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Cedar Valley Christian Huskies (Cedar Rapids, IA), 68-57 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lone Tree advances its record to 5-9 on the year. The Lions host Pekin (Packwood, IA) to meet the Panthers in a SEI - North match on Friday, January 24. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 9-6. Pekin won 67-45 in their recent league match against Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA)
The Huskies now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iowa Valley for a non-league match on Monday, January 27. Cedar Valley Christian will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 66-51 league loss to Keota (Keota, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 9-8.
