The Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL) basketball crushed the host Fort Meade Miners (Fort Meade, FL), 66-41 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Thunder now possess a 5-16 record. They play next when they travel to Mulberry for a 4A District 7 bout on Saturday, January 25. Lake Region will play a Panthers team coming off a 59-56 non-league loss to All Saints' Academy (Winter Haven, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-15.

With the loss, Fort Meade falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Miners host Hardee (Wauchula, FL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Hardee lost 57-50 in their recent non-league bout against Frostproof (Frostproof, FL)
