The Morning Star Academy Mustangs basketball squad (Bettendorf, IA), was nudged 54-47 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Rivermont Collegiate Lions (Bettendorf, IA)

With the victory, Rivermont Collegiate advances its record to 4-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA) to meet the Falcons in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. The Falcons enter the battle with a record of 6-8.

The Mustangs now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Galesburg Christian for a Northern Illinois Christian battle on Friday, January 24.
