The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats (Clearwater, NE) and the visiting Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE), observed Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s basketball team knock off Pierce by a score of 47-32.

The Bobcats (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE). The Falcons come into the C2 District 9 challenge with a 12-3 record. In their last challenge, Elkhorn Valley prevailed over Boyd County (Spencer, NE), 49-47, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bluejays encounter the Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE) in a C1 District 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Pierce will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
