Maine High School Basketball - Stearns holds off Southern Aroostook
January 23, 2025: Millinocket, ME 04462 The Stearns Minutemen basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Southern Aroostook Warriors to 58 in the Minutemen league triumph on Thursday.
The Minutemen now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Lee Academy for a D North game on Monday, January 27. Stearns will confront a Pandas team coming off a 59-49 non-league loss to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Pandas record now stands at 7-7.
With the loss, Southern Aroostook falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME) to confront the Panthers in a D North game on Monday, January 27. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 7-8. Central Aroostook won 74-72 in their recent non-league game against Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME)
