The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) and the host Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA), observed Independence's basketball team knock off Bakersfield by a score of 45-30.

The Falcons (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Bakersfield, CA). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Liberty prevailed over Roosevelt (Fresno, CA), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.
