Arkansas High School Basketball - Emerson victorious over Gurdon
January 23, 2025: Emerson, AR 71740 In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Emerson Pirates basketball team scored a good 56-37 triumph over the Gurdon Go-Devils.
The Pirates (18-5) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia Christian (Magnolia, AR). The Crusaders go into the 1A Region 8 contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Columbia Christian was topped by Taylor (Taylor, AR), 10-0, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Go-Devils battle the Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR) in a 2A Region 8 contest, on Friday, January 24. Gurdon will attempt to better on its 0-16 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 12-5 record after their 47-42 league win over Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR).
