In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Fort Meade Miners basketball team scored a big 48-22 triumph over the Lake Placid Dragons.

The Miners (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ridge Community (Davenport, FL). The Bolts go into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Ridge Community smashed Ridgeview Global Studies Academy (Davenport, FL), 45-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Dragons battle the Sebring Blue Streaks (Sebring, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Lake Placid will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record.
