January 23, 2025: Junction City, AR 71749 Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Nevada Blue Jays (Rosston, AR), 53-27 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Junction City advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Dragons host Poyen (Poyen, AR) to face the Indians in a 2A Region 8 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Indians enter the match with a record of 17-2. Poyen won 71-29 in their recent league match against Ouachita (Donaldson, AR)
The Blue Jays now own a 4-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Umpire for a 1A Region 7 match on Friday, January 24. Nevada will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 49-44 league loss to Mount Ida (Mount Ida, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-16.
