The Swink Lions (Swink, CO) basketball crushed the visiting Walsenburg Panthers (Walsenburg, CO), 54-20 in Thursday's league bout.

The Lions now possess a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hoehne for a 3A/2A Santa Fe bout on Tuesday, January 28. Swink will play a Farmers team coming off a 59-38 non-league win over Center (Center, CO). The Farmers record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Walsenburg falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Las Animas (Las Animas, CO) to play the Trojans in a 3A/2A Santa Fe bout on Friday, January 24. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Las Animas won 49-39 in their recent non-league bout against Holly (Holly, CO)
