New Mexico High School Basketball - Mayfield triumphant over Centennial
January 23, 2025: Las Cruces, NM 88011 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) and the host Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM), observed Mayfield's basketball team overwhelm Centennial by a score of 77-56.
The Trojans (11-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Alamogordo was routed by Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 69-19, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Centennial will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 64-15 non-league loss to Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM).
