Georgia High School Basketball - LaGrange can't hold off Cartersville
The Cartersville Hurricanes basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting LaGrange Grangers to 65 in the Hurricanes league win on Friday.
The Hurricanes (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Patriots go into the AAAA Region 5 test with a 17-3 record. In their last test, Sandy Creek got by Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA), 87-68, in a league test.
The Grangers now own a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Troup County for a AAAA Region 5 battle on Saturday, January 25. LaGrange will battle a Tigers team coming off a 67-51 league loss to Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-10.
