Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Covington Cougars (Covington, VA), 75-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Glenvar upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Highlanders host James River (Buchanan, VA) to clash with the Knights in a Three Rivers bout on Wednesday, January 26. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-3. James River won 69-54 in their recent non-league bout against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a Pioneer bout, on Tuesday, January 25. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 44-38 league loss to Highland (Monterey, VA).
