Kansas High School Basketball - Independence can't hold off Fort Scott
January 24, 2022: Independence, KS 67301 The Fort Scott Tigers basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the host Independence Bulldogs to 36 in the Tigers non-league victory on Monday.
The Tigers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parsons for a non-league contest on Friday, January 28. Fort Scott will battle a Vikings team coming off a 59-35 non-league win over Liberty HomeSchool Alliance (Yates Center, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 9-3.
The Bulldogs (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Bonner Springs (Bonner Springs, KS). The Braves go into the non-league bout with a 5-6 record. In their last bout, Bonner Springs held off Turner (Kansas City, KS), 43-9, in a non-league bout.
