Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island overwhelms Highline
January 24, 2022: Burien, WA 98148 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) and the host Highline Pirates (Burien, WA), saw Mercer Island's basketball squad wallop Highline by a tally of 69-24.
With the victory, Mercer Island improves its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Islanders host Juanita (Kirkland, WA) to play the Ravens in a 3A KingCo challenge on Wednesday, January 26. The Ravens come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Juanita lost 60-35 in their recent league challenge against Hazen (Renton, WA)
Next up, the Pirates play the Foster Bulldogs (Tukwila, WA) in a 2A KingCo challenge, on Wednesday, January 26. Highline will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 61-28 league loss to Sammamish (Bellevue, WA).
