California High School Basketball - West County can't hold off Pinole Valley

The Pinole Valley Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and held the host West County Team to 61 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Richmond for a contest on Thursday, January 27.

The Team (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Piner (Santa Rosa, CA). The Prospectors enter the contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Piner nudged St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA), 53-46, in a league contest.
