Maryland High School Basketball - Southern tops Glen Burnie
January 24, 2023: Harwood, MD 20776 Southern Bulldogs (Harwood, MD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Glen Burnie Gophers (Glen Burnie, MD), 70-52 in a league bout.
With the victory, Southern upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chesapeake (Pasadena, MD) to play the Cougars in a Anne Arundel County bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 5-8.
Next up, the Gophers play the Northeast Eagles (Pasadena, MD) in a Anne Arundel County bout, on Friday, January 27. Glen Burnie will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 82-55 league loss to South River (Edgewater, MD).
