Maine High School Basketball - Temple Academy nips Islesboro Central
January 24, 2023: Waterville, ME Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME), 55-54 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Temple Academy upgrades its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Bereans travel to Searsport (Searsport, ME) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 3-11. Searsport lost 36-33 in their recent non-league battle against Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME)
The Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Richmond (Richmond, ME). The Bobcats come into the non-league battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Richmond edged Valley (Bingham, ME), 63-50, in a non-league battle.
