In Tuesday's league match, the host Portland Highlanders basketball team scored a decisive 77-45 triumph over the North Branford Thunderbirds.

In their next game, the Highlanders meet the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT) in a Shoreline match, on Friday, January 27. Portland will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record.
