Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), 68-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pocahontas upgrades its record to 2-8 on the season. The Indians host Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-11. Storm Lake St. Mary lost 66-25 in their recent league bout against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans (Ruthven, IA) in a Twin Lakes bout, on Friday, January 27. Southeast Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record.
