West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS), 78-31 in a league bout.

With the win, West Union upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-12. Tupelo Christian Prep lost 88-42 in their recent league bout against Ingomar (New Albany, MS)

Next up, the Seminoles play the Hickory Flat Rebels (Hickory Flat, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Smithville will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record.
